New Projects...
I wanted to share some new projects that I was working on and now completed..
I fell in LOVE with a clutch my Sister DT, Itza Gomez had made. She was a sweetheart and sent me the supplies to make a clutch. Thank you Itza!!! Itza Gomez Picture # 1 shows the design on the outside of the fabric. Next is the inside. The next is the completed clutch, front back and inside. I really enjoyed making this clutch. Look for more to be completed. This clutch is on Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/271314000602?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
I hope you enjoy looking at my projects!!
The next project is for a dear friend on Facebook!!This friend also is the Mother of my newly married Son, James's Bride, Mikhaela.
I have really enjoyed making the layout. I will be making more, so look out for them in the near future!!!!

I had to keep it under wraps and not install the picture till I was closer to completing it for fear she would see it. I have finished it as of last night.
The first picture is with the modling paste put on over a piece of lace. That is how I achieved this wonderful texture. The next picture, all of the flowers, beads and leave were put in place. The back ground and all of the bits were painted cream. The next picture I had to decide where to put the picture down and I placed all of the pearls. The last step was very SCARY. I had to glue the picture down and then add a glue like substance all over the picture. Then I added the last piece of beautiful lace from Angela's store. I added a few more pearls on that lace. I used a lot of products from Angela's store https://www.facebook.com/AHoltDesigns/app_189977524185

So on with the hop!
Yesterday I featured a Graphics 45 project. Today I want to introduce you to Angela Holt's Shabby Chic Kits. Along with her regular store items, Angela has a subscription service where you can buy a kit jam packed with items to make shabby chic projects. It usually contains lace, multiple flowers, ribbon, bling and lots of filler goodies. It's a fantastic bargain and you can check out more about it by clicking on the address below.
This month there were some fabulous flowers, fancy trims, beads, ribbons, bling, and lovely laces. I couldn't wait to get started with them! I made two projects so far which I will share with you next but I have SO MUCH LEFT!!! I think I can do at least 4 more projects, probably more. I'm not kidding when I say it's a great deal!
I love how my 2 cards turned out!!
So that concludes my second portion of the Angela Holt Design Team Blog Hop. Please hop onto Itza's blog.
Thanks for joining us in this FUN HOP. Until the next hop..

We are a group of mostly women crafters and so many of us have been affected by cancer in one way or another. About 1 in 8 U.S. women (just under 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. Breast cancer is an increasingly prolific disease but the cure is coming! We here at Angela Holt Designs believe this and want to help make it a reality.
Did you know…...
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women, except for skin cancers. About 1 in 8 (12%) women in the US will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime.
The American Cancer Society's estimates for breast cancer in the
United States for 2013 are:
About 232,340 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women.
About 64,640 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be diagnosed (CIS is non-invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer).
About 39,620 women will die from breast cancer
After increasing for more than 2 decades, female breast cancer incidence rates began decreasing in 2000, then dropped by about 7% from 2002 to 2003. This large decrease was thought to be due to the decline in use of hormone therapy after menopause that occurred after the results of the Women's Health Initiative were published in 2002. This study linked the use of hormone therapy to an increased risk of breast cancer and heart diseases. Incidence rates have been stable in recent years.
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, exceeded only by lung cancer. The chance that breast cancer will be responsible for a woman's death is about 1 in 36 (about 3%). Death rates from breast cancer have been declining since about 1989, with larger decreases in women younger than 50. These decreases are believed to be the result of earlier detection through screening and increased awareness, as well as improved treatment.
At this time there are more than 2.8 million breast cancer survivors in the United States. (This includes women still being treated and those who have completed treatment.)~ Information reported from the Cancer.org website http://www.cancer.org/
Did you also know:
That a drug therapy cure is close at hand for certain types of breast cancer? Go here http://
Dr. Alexzander Asea developed NamPEVA.
In pre-clinical tests, the drug killed cancer cells without attacking the body.
It also trains the body to keep killing them after treatment.
With that in mind, Angela Holt and several of the Design Team members have decided to present an auction on the final day of our Breast Cancer Awareness week. The auction will be held on the event page and you can bid through the comment area under the auction item(s). The auction will begin at 9:00am CST and end at 5:0opm CST. All proceeds will be donated to Dr. Asea personally by Deb Ochs-LaGrone who lives in Temple, TX where Scott and White’s Cancer Institute is located. It will be well documented and pictures taken so you can be assured that your money WILL go for his research.
On our FB fan page we have 557 members as of today. That means that of those fans, 70 of us will develop this horrible disease. Won’t you PLEASE join us for an auction that will benefit those that develop it and the world as a whole? It takes small steps to get there and we aim to be part of that!
With love and hope for a cure,
The Angela Holt Design Team
